The Paragon Hotel

Circular Quay

Indoor/Outdoor Renovation

Paul Ratcliff Building and Waterproofing Inspections involvement with the Paragon Hotel was to prepare a scope of work to waterproof what was once an indoor area and turn it into an outdoor bar area that could be hosed out each night and be able to handle the rain and inclement weather. The design limitations were that McDonalds are on the ground floor and could not be affected by moisture. The floor had to have 160mm of cross fall and the floor could not be topped using conventional cementitious topping compounds.
